Job Title	DSP Modem Firmware Lead-(Senior Staff Engineer/Manager)
Location	India - Hyderabad
Job Function	My Client is actively seeking a senior DSP firmware developer to lead its modem firmware development activities. This position involves the leading the development of DSP firmware in embedded C on proprietary DSP platforms for a variety of wireless modem products. Successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, integration, and verification of fixed-point DSP firmware, and contribute to the architectural design of current and next generation wireless modem technologies. You will lead a small, tightly-knit team and engage with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance and high-quality products to the wireless marketplace.
Skills/Experience	The primary skill sets required for this position are: Real world experience in developing, integrating and debugging DSP firmware for communications applications. A strong background in communication theory and digital signal processing (DSP). The ability to plan and lead the engineering execution of multiple projects with challenging deadlines. Experience of designing and delivering modem DSP firmware in the wireless industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of UMTS/1x/GERAN/LTE family of cellular standards is also highly desired Candidates will design and own the implementation of communication algorithms in real-time, fixed-point embedded C. You will also work closely with Communication System Engineers and Modem ASIC Designers to implement, optimize and influence the current and long term design of our modems. Required: 9+ years of experience with Bachelor's or Masters in Electrical Communications Engineering from a reputable institute.
