Manpower Required Details

Position Title: Six Sigma Black Belt Black Belt

Designation & Level: Manager / Sr. Manager

Department: Business Excellence

Experience: 6-8 yrs experience with DFSS & QbD

Business / Location: Corporate Office, Noida

Reporting To: BE Coordinator

Qualification: Master degree in Organic Chemistry (or) Chemical Engineering, desirably from IIT / UDCT. Ph.D in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering will be preferrable

Experience Profile:

• Knowledge of Design of Experiments, Quality by Design principles (QbD), ICH Guidelines & DFSS is essential.

• Hands-on experience in DFSS, Lean and Six Sigma in API/Pharma company

Industry / Sector specific:

API / Chemical / Pharma Industry / Organic Chemicals Industry, R&D units of Petrochemials and Organic Chemicals

JOB SUMMARY

PURPOSE OF JOB

Strategize and drive various Business Excellence Initiatives w.r.t DFSS, QbD DOE in R&D, New Product Development to create additional bottom line impact in Mfg, R&D & Businesses through these methodologies.

KEY DELIVERABLES

1. Identify opportunities for product development / new process development (NPD) in line with corporate goals,strengths and limitations.
2. To identify cost reduction, capacity enhancement projects which needs R&D intervention immediately to get implemented in the plants.
3. Train the scientists in six sigma methodology- DMAIC and DFSS
4. Creating infrastructure for improvement projects
5. Mentoring Research Scientists (Greenbelts) to sucessful completion of projects and ensuring first time right projects and bringing up from R&D to Scaleup
6. Coordination with Business Unit Heads and Functional Heads to seek their support and involvement for timely completion of process improvement and cost reduction projects in each of the Business units.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

1. Preparing material and energy balances for the new process
2. Knowledgeable on Design of Experiments & DFSS
3. Scale up of designs, techno commercial feasibility studies, DCF calculations, detailed engineering etc.
4. Coordinating the activities between various departments involved such as pilot plant, kilo lab and plant BB etc during the courses of project implementation
5. Process data analysis for improvements in design and optimization of operating conditions, finalizing CQAs, performing PFMEA, publishing Product & Process Scorecard, managing project management for formulation / API product development.
